ODESSA Sculptures

ODESSA is a lineage of singular sculptural forms built through material transformation.

 

ODESSA is a sculptural lineage born from the Second Life series. Built from upcycled materials sourced from the studio, everyday objects, and fragments collected from second-hand spaces, each sculpture performs a transformation, from function to presence. These materials have already lived.

 

They carry traces, prior uses, and layered temporalities. The act of assembly does not seek repair or nostalgia, but an active mutation of matter. ODESSA operates as a matrix, defining a shared origin from which autonomous and irreducible forms emerge. Each sculpture is given a name in relation to its presence and internal tension: Impassive, Resilient, Fragmented, Sovereign…

 

These names do not describe. They suggest. Together, the works form a descent of singular figures where memory becomes structure and matter becomes identity. ODESSA examines transmission, persistence, and the multiplicity of female identities within a culture shaped by consumption and disappearance.
